Medistop Primary Care is a leading provider of high quality Internal Medicine and Family Practice since 2003. Medistop clinic system has established a well known reputation to be the clinic of choice in the community by enhancing the health care experience of our patients. At Medistop the physician is a partner with the patient in addressing their medical needs which overtime develops into a supportive patient-physician relationship, allowing the physician to track medical history and facilitate a proactive health care management system.
Our Staff
At Medistop Primary Care, we recognize that the medical staff is an integral part in the delivery of health care services to our patients. Medistop Primary Care utilizes highly skilled staff, state of the art medical equipments and a referral system with nearby hospital facilities in order to maximize the care for our patients.
We have very knowledgeable, experienced and board certified physicians. During the consultation, physician listens to patient’s concerns and ailments carefully before discussing a comprehensive diagnostic and treatment plan with each individual patient. After the consultation, the physician or the nurse escorts patient to the front where follow up care arrangements are facilitated. Every patient receive a courtesy telephone reminder call a day prior to the appointment. A reminder card is filled out for patient’s convenience at the end of the office visit.

ARSHAD UMER, MD

Dr. Arshad Umer is a board certified internal medicine physician with a vast 25+ years experience in the practice of medicine. Upon graduating from medical school he completed residency in Internal Medicine at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, an affiliate of New York Medical College in 1995.
After completing his residency, Dr. Umer moved to San Luis Obispo, California; where he worked at SLO General Hospital and Family Care Center for a period of 5 years. He demonstrated his clinical skills in both in-patient settings and out-patient care.
In 2001 Dr. Umer relocated his practice to Houston, Texas, where he worked with In-Patient Consultants of Texas, a nation-wide Hospitalist Company. He devoted most of his time in the management of critically ill patients in intensive care at Memorial Hermann Hospital, Methodist Hospital and West Houston Medical Center.
Medistop Primary Care, a comprehensive out-patient health care system in Houston was founded by Arshad Umer, MD in year 2003. In the last 18 years, Medistop Primary Care has assisted hundreds and thousands of patients during their illnesses in Sugar Land area.
A new Medistop Primary Care was built in Katy in 2009, to serve a growing community in Houston.
This Ultimate and comprehensive Primary Care System will continue to grow in the new neighborhoods of Houston to meet increasing demands of a growing population.
